Fran Kibler
Memorial Scholarship
Involved in almost every project for NVADACA, Fran was always available as a volunteer, a mainstay in such efforts as selling programs at the regional football, basketball, and cheerleading competitions.
FRAN's Story
Fran Kibler, a retired educator from Arlington County Public Schools, was a loyal member of NVADACA. She served two terms as president, attending every monthly meeting even after her terms as president were over. At the annual golf tournament, Fran demonstrated her avid support as one of the first to arrive, checking in golfers and welcoming participants. She teamed with Maryann Schwab to coordinate the annual scholarship breakfast and attend to all the details of the events, including such organizational efforts as writing bios of each winner and serving as master of ceremonies for the event. As a result of their passion and dedication, this annual event continues today.

In August 2011 she moved to Williamsburg, VA, where she passed away from breast cancer in 2020 at the age of 83. It is with pride and honor that NVADACA recognizes the dedication and contributions of Fran Kibler with a scholarship in her memory.
